Feminine Interiors

Feminine Interiors

"Feminine Interiors" is a photography project that delves into the intersection of body, self-expression, and personal space through the lens of design and art. For this series, I created environmental portraits of women within their homes, capturing how their personal spaces reflect their identities and inner worlds. Our homes are intimate extensions of who we are, where every object, color, and piece of art reveals something about the lives we lead and the people we aspire to be.

In contrast, the absence of decoration or the quiet simplicity of minimalist spaces can speak volumes, too. The empty wall, the open space, or the deliberate lack of adornment can convey as much about self-expression as any artwork. We communicate with the world through the spaces we inhabit, and these environments become visual narratives of our inner lives.

This project captures how women in today’s world use their personal environments—through art, color, and design (or the absence thereof)—to express themselves. It seeks to illuminate how these choices reflect their identities, personalities, and the broader social context in which they live. Over time, the image of the modern woman and her relationship with her home has evolved, and this evolution continues to unfold. "Feminine Interiors" highlights the power of self-expression, both as individuals and as members of a larger society, and offers a glimpse into the ever-changing nature of identity and personal space.
